Sorensen who?
Born in 1971, Copenhagen (Denmark). His life has taken him through the most diverse settings: Sri Lanka, Copenhagen, London, New York, Luxembourg, Sierra Nevada, Ibiza, Valencia, which has allowed him to be nourished by the most varied cultures.
He can be defined as a multidisciplinary and self-taught artist. From a very young age, he developed a strong interest in the world of graffiti and comics. It was the 1980s when he came to live in Valencia, and it didn't take long for him to become a reference for other young graffiti artists due to his innovative contributions. This phase is reflected in a publication by Gabriela Berti, titled Pioneers of Graffiti (University of Valencia, 2009). This book was presented in various institutions, including the CCCB (Centre of Contemporary Culture of Barcelona), during the Hipnotic Festival, where he participated in a conference and created a demonstration piece with other pioneer artists from Spain.
Later, he decided to temporarily move to NYC. There, he improved his skills by studying at the Art Students League, which he combined with teaching drawing classes for children at Pratt University. Upon returning to Valencia, he continued his studies at the School of Arts and Crafts. By then, he had moved away from graffiti, delving into digital art, doing graphic design and post-production work at a design studio.
Gradually, he became interested in the world of tattooing, fully immersing himself in 1996, and it has become his true profession that continues to this day. He first started in a well-known studio in the city, and two years later, he opened his own studio (X-TATTOO). At the 1st Tattoo Convention in Valencia, he won first prize in the color category. He also worked in tattoo studios in New York and Luxembourg. Currently, his freelance status allows him to enjoy the mobility that characterizes him, traveling seasonally to Ibiza, Sierra Nevada, Luxembourg…
